Inverness Highland Games - 19 July 2009

The Inverness Highland Games is the largest and most spectacular Gathering staged in the North of Scotland. This year’s event will feature the Masters World Championships featuring over 100 Heavies from 12 Nations together with everything you would expect at a traditional Highland Games and a whole lot more.

Inverness Military Tattoo - 27 July to 1 August 2009

The annual Inverness Military Tattoo is the Highlands' only tattoo and has been running since the 1950’s and is not to be missed.

The show is held in the Northern Meeting Park in the heart of the City Centre behind Inverness Cathedral.

All the performers taking part in the Tattoo - bands, regiments and dancers—march nightly to the park from Inverness Castle, over the River Ness, so don’t forget your camera.

Aberdeen Intl Youth Festival - 2 August 2009

Part of the Aberdeen International Youth Festival, showcasing the best young talent from all over the world. This exciting youth orchestra of 90 have performed throughout Europe. For their first visit to Scotland they present a popular programme including Debussy's Scottish March.

Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival - 6 to 8 August 2009
